Terms of service
These terms are the agreement between you and Bettik AI ("Bettik", "we") for using bettik.ai and the boxes, stacks and tools we run for you. By creating an account or using Bettik, you agree to them. Our privacy policy says what we keep about you.
The service
Bettik runs development machines, "boxes", that keep working while you are away. On them you run "stacks" (an app and its database) and tools such as Claude Code. We provide the machines and the platform; what you build and run on them is up to you.
Your account
You need an account, and you must be at least 13 to have one. A child younger than that may use Bettik only through a family account a parent or guardian runs. Keep your password and connected sign-ins safe: you are responsible for what is done with your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
A family or organization account belongs to the family or organization. Its admins can add and remove members, give boxes to them and take boxes back. Its boxes and their stacks stay with it when a member leaves.
Your work is yours
You keep every right to the code, data and content you put on Bettik. You give us only the permission we need to run it for you: to store it, run it, and move it between our machines. We do not use your content for anything else, and we do not train AI models on it.
Using Bettik well
Don't use Bettik to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's rights;
- phish, spread malware, send spam, or attack other systems;
- mine cryptocurrency, or run anything meant to overload or get around our limits;
- get at other people's boxes, accounts or data, or test our security without our written permission;
- run something on a public stack that pretends to be someone else.
We may take a stack or box offline, or suspend an account, to stop any of this or to protect people. Where we can, we tell you first and give you a chance to fix it. Report abuse at /abuse.
Third-party tools
Boxes run software from others: Claude Code, operating systems, language runtimes and anything you install. Their own terms apply to them. Claude on your box runs under your own Anthropic account and its terms.
Paying
Boxes are priced by size, by the day, and billed monthly to the card on file through Stripe. Prices are on the box page before you create one. A new account's boxes are free for its first 7 days. If those days end, or a payment fails and is not made good within 7 days, the account's boxes are switched off for 2 days and then destroyed, with their data. We email you before each step. Charges are not refunded, except where the law says they must be, or where we decide to.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' email notice. A change applies from your next bill after it takes effect.
Your data, and backups
Bettik keeps no backups of your boxes or stacks. A destroyed box or stack, and everything on it, is gone. Keep anything you would miss somewhere else too: in git, or a copy of your own.
Ending
You can destroy your boxes at any time, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or that has not paid, as described above. When an account closes, its boxes and their data are destroyed.
No warranty
We work hard to keep Bettik running, but we provide it "as is". To the extent the law allows, we make no promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or right for any particular purpose.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Bettik is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it arose.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email you at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you keep using Bettik after that, the new terms apply.
The law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and disputes are settled in its courts, unless the law where you live gives you the right to have them settled there.
