Bettik runs development machines ("boxes") for you, and the work on them is yours. We keep what we need to run your account and your boxes, and nothing else. We do not sell your information, show you ads, or train AI models on your data or your code. We make money by charging for boxes, and that is the only business we are in.
This policy covers bettik.ai and the boxes, stacks and tools we run for you. "Bettik", "we" and "us" mean Bettik AI. Questions go to hello@bettik.ai.
What we keep, and why
Your account. Your email, your name, your handle, and your password (stored only as a one-way hash; we cannot read it). We use them to sign you in and to write to you about your account.
Google sign-in, if you connect it. Google's id for your account, the email Google gives us, and, if it is a Google Workspace account, its domain. We use them only to recognise you when you sign in with Google. We never match a Google account to a Bettik login by email; you connect it yourself, from Settings.
Families and organizations. Which accounts you belong to, your role in each, and the invitations you send or receive.
Billing. Which boxes ran on which days, your plan, and whether a card is on file. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
Your boxes. What we need to run them: their names, sizes, state, the software release they run, how much memory and disk they use, the names of the stacks on them, and the settings you give them (SSH public keys, environment variables, a Claude settings repository). Secrets you mark as secret are encrypted, and our site cannot read them back.
Logs. Our servers record requests and errors, as every server does, to keep the service running and secure. We keep them for as long as they are useful for that, and no longer than 90 days.
Cookies. Only the ones that keep you signed in, and a short-lived one while you sign in with Google. No analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and no third-party trackers on our pages.
What is on your boxes
The code, data and files on your boxes are yours. We do not look through them, copy them elsewhere or use them for anything but running your box.
As the operator, we can reach your boxes. We do so only to keep them running, to fix or secure them, when you ask us for help, or when the law requires it. Report abuse on a stack at /abuse; we will take an abusive stack offline.
Claude on your boxes runs under your own claude.ai account, signed in by you. What it sends to Anthropic is governed by your agreement with Anthropic, not by us.
Who else sees it
We use these companies to run Bettik, and each sees only what its job needs:
- Akamai (Linode): the machines your boxes run on.
- Vercel: hosts this website.
- Neon: our database.
- Amazon Web Services: runs the service that creates and looks after boxes.
- Cloudflare: our domain names and the secure connections to your boxes.
- Stripe: payments.
- Resend: sends our email.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose it.
Beyond these we share nothing, except when the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or as part of a sale or merger of Bettik, in which case this policy goes with your information.
Keeping and deleting
We keep your account while you have it. When a box or stack is destroyed, its data is gone; we keep no backups of it, so keep copies of anything you would miss, in git or elsewhere. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete it and its boxes. Billing records we must keep by law, we keep for as long as the law says.
You can see and change most of what we keep in Settings. For a copy of it, a correction, or to delete your account, write to hello@bettik.ai. We answer within 30 days.
Children
Bettik is for people 13 and older. A family account may include a younger child only when a parent or guardian creates and runs it and is responsible for the child's use. If you think a child is using Bettik without that, tell us and we will delete the account.
Where it is kept
Our providers keep data mainly in the United States. If you use Bettik from elsewhere, your information goes there.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before the change takes effect. The date at the top says when it last changed.
